Today is a special day, because today would be the day a legendary musician by the name of Kurt Donald Cobain, was born in Aberdeen, Washington. He was the leading inspirational force in the music business in he early 90’s, with his band, Nirvana. He accomplished a feat the only measly individuals, like myself, could only dream of.
A man from the small city in Washington, who did drugs in his teens, dropped out of high school at the age of 16, got kicked out of his house at the same age, was homeless for a period of time, then found his artistic muse and went on to sell millions of records and become one of the most famous musicians of all time. His career only lasted for a couple of years, ending with his untimely and unfortunate death in 1994. If someone like him could become a famous musician overnight, then who can’t?
Kurt is an inspiration to millions of people, old and young. Honestly, in my eyes, Kurt is definitely one of the greatest musicians who ever lived, because no one has ever made music that sounded like his, he is extremely unique.
That being all said, I hope you finally found the peace you were looking for Kurt. You literally changed my views on music and life when I discovered you, as so with many other musicians I’ve listened to, but you impact on my life was a lot more profound than others. Happy Birthday and Rest in Peace <3
I’ll end this off with my favorite Kurt Cobain quote of all time, because nothing expresses my views more than this…
“There’s good in all of us and I think I simply love people too much, so much that it makes me feel too fucking sad.”
